An America cross country road trip has been one of my dreams. I have lived in America for 6 years, but I had only visited a few states. New York, California, Florida, and Nevada. I wanted to see more of the states and meet more of the people.
In the Summer of 2009, I finally had a chance to make my dream come true with Buzby. Lucky, we were both able to take a month off from work. We planned to spend 21days for the road trip, but it ended up being 35 days! While we were on the trip, we realized how fast the time passed. We wanted to visit more places and wanted enjoy this trip as long as we could. I could have spent 6 months on the road!!
Our road trip car was the Toyota Prius. We don't have a car, so we rented. The rental car cost a total of $1900 for 39 days, with unlimited mileage & insurance. My friends were so surprised that we used the Prius because it's so small and maybe not comfortable for a cross-country road trip. Is that really true?!? No way!! We are so glad that we chose the Prius! The car color was blue, we decided to call her as Aoichan*. Aoi means blue in Japanese. Yes, I am from Japan.
