We didn't have a reservation this night, but we knew where we wanted to stay. Fruita Campground! Before the trip, we researched campgrounds. This campground was on our “wish list”.

We didn't have a reservation. We arrived at the Fruita campground in Capitol Reef National Park around 3 pm to get a site. This park does not take reservations, so getting one of the prime sites is hard. Luckily, when we got there, there were a few sites to choose from. A site close to large trees was already taken. It would been nice to get a site close to large trees because it's a little more private. At our site, there were no trees around, but I was happy with the site anyway.

Deer were chilling in the campgound all the time, walking right past you. They aren't phased by having people very in their habitat. Its really fun to see deer that closely!

After we got a site, we went to the park.
